Birthday Memory
Happy Fall

A woman was asked by a coworker, 'What is it like to be a Christian?'
The coworker replied, 'It is like being a pumpkin. God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. Then He cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff. He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, and greed. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see.'

After Surgery
Well I got a call from my dad last night at about 7:30 PM and he advised me that my mom just got out of surgery and that she is doing well. They had a huge team in their for the procedure. She had 2 plastic surgeons , 1 resident doctor, 6 nurses, and 1 anesthesiologist. They all came out smiling and said she did great. They wheeled her up to the recovery room and he still had to wait another two hours before he could go see her. Hopefully she will be up for talking tomorrow. She has to wait 3 months before she can lift anything over 8 pounds. The funny thing is she has a cat she loves that is around 12 pounds that she can't lift to hold. We call her fatty (real name is Marmalade).
Anyway over all things went good, so now we just have to wait for the rest of her recovery.

Surgery Day!
This weekend my parents were down visiting my brother and his family as well as my grandma. From there they were going to drive back up to Seattle to stay at this hotel that is connected to the hospital.
Today is surgery day and I am a little nervous for my parents as they are about to play a waiting game. She is to go into the hospital at 5:30 am (pacific time)and her surgery will begin at 8 am. It is a 10 hour procedure. My dad will not know how the surgery went until they are all done and she is off to the recovery room. Once she is out of surgery she will be staying in the hospital till the end of the week. My dad will be staying at the hospital hotel.
My mother is very excited for this surgery. She is aware of the pain she will be in but is looking for the out come. I am hoping all goes well and that they will both be ok while the surgery is going on. I am also wishing she will not be in too much pain when she comes to visit us for Christmas. I hear it is very painful and that is lasts a long time.
