HALLOWEEN 2010

This Year Eoghan wanted to be Iron Man for Halloween, I just started a new job and this guy Jonathan and his boyfriend bought Eoghan an Iron Man costume and it even had muscles. Eoghan was super excited about it and I was excited that it saved me $30 bucks for it.

Friday before Halloween I took Eoghan Trick or Treating in down town Woodland at the businesses with Deaken, Ryker and Thather.

Saturday I went to a Halloween party with Julie at one of her friends house.

Sunday Julie and I took Eoghan Trick or Treating and he had a big time

Birthday

Alright, so I just had my 30 th birthday.. I didn't think much of the age because it is just a number; however, as I began to think about it, it was kinda sad. What happened to the excitement of birthdays? The cake, candles and friends over birthday parties?

I guess now as adults we get together with friends for dinner and drinks or maybe going out but that usually has to wait till the weekend and your actually birthday is not all that it once was cracked up to be. Crazy to know you get older and all your friends and family get older but, it is still weird to grasp the actual age and how fast time is going by.

I think it is more along the lines of, I am this old and what to I have to show for being this age? Have I accomplished anything since becoming an adult?

Anyway thinking out loud

The Difference Between Friends and Best Friends

Saw this on a friend's page, liked it and agree with it so.. thought I'd share

FRIENDS: Never ask for anything to eat or drink.
BEST FRIENDS: Helps themselves and are the reason why you have no food.

FRIENDS: Calls your parents by Mr. and Mrs.
BEST FRIENDS: Calls your parents DAD and MOM

FRIENDS: Would bail you out of jail.
BEST FRIENDS: Would be sitting next to you saying "We fucked up ... but that shit was fun!"

FRIENDS: Have never seen you cry.
BEST FRIENDS: Wont tell everyone else you cried...just laugh about it with you in private when your not down anymore.

FRIENDS: Borrows your stuff for a few days then gives it back.
BEST FRIENDS: Loses your shit and tells you, "My bad...here's a tissue."

FRIENDS: Only know a few things about you.
BEST FRIENDS: Could write a very embarrassing biography on your life story...

FRIENDS: Will leave you behind if that is what the crowd is doing.
BEST FRIENDS: Will kick the whole crowds ass that left you.

FRIENDS Would knock on your front door.
BEST FRIENDS: Walk right in and say "I'M HOME!"

FRIENDS: Are only through high school.
BEST FRIENDS: Are for life.

FRIENDS: Will be there to take your drink away from you when they think you've had enough.
BEST FRIENDS: Will look at you stumbling all over the place & say "Bitch drink the rest of that you know we don't waste."

June so far.. 2010

June 4th I worked then picked Eoghan up and we headed to Julie's for the night. We had dinner and watched Greta and My Best Friend's Wedding. Had a couple drinks and just hung out.

It as usual was fun. I worked Saturday and then we once again headed out to Julie's. We went to Tom's Pizza place for dinner and a beer. Eoghan loves hanging out with Julie and Matt too. We then went back to there place to watch Dear John.

Sunday didn't do much other than work and then went home and hung out with Eoghan. We watched some TV then crashed early. Nothing real exciting.

I had Monday off so went to check out Apollo school for dental assisting program. Then lunch with Annette and her little guy Hunter. Later that night I went to Woodland to watch my nephew's baseball game and hung out with my sister in law for a bit. Judson had to work, so didn't get to see him too much.

Memorial Weekend 2010

Wrote this Memorial Weekend 2010

I ended up getting the last week of May off. So Friday the 28th Eoghan and I went up North to Burlington. On our way up we stopped by to see an old high school friend Jasmine. She and her husband just bought a house, So we went to see it and visit.

Then we got in to Burlington around 8 pm. I basically dropped Oeee off with my parents and headed to Deception pass to meet up with more old high school friends. It was so much fun to see them an long with their kids. We just hung out by the camp fire and talked. I was tired from the lack of sleep from the night before so I didn't stay out there too long.

Saturday morning I hung out with my parents. I met up with my college friend Colleen later that day. We went to lunch and the movies to see Letters to Juliet, it was a good chick flick. After the movies we went shopping (parents dog ate Eoghan's sandals) and back to her house to hang out. It was nice to actually hang out rather than just meeting for dinner (which is still fun, but nice we got to do more).

Sunday I went back out to the camp ground to meet up with Elizabeth, Jeff, Tonia, and John. We walked to the beach and had a BBQ dinner and hung out. It was nice to see some old faces and catch up. Crazy it has been 11 years since graduating high school. These people are mostly the same and have just gotten more responsible with having kids and working. It was so much fun to visit and catch up! Over all it was fantastic weekend trip!

As of October 2009 Eoghan and I moved back to Washington. We stayed with my brother and his family for a few months (I am very greatful for my family.

As of Feb 2010 Eoghan and I moved on our own in a small apartment (480 sqft) in Vancouver. We see the family and friends often. I get to hang out with my friends while Oeee gets to have play dates with my friends' boys. Oeee has healed nicely from his accident. He still has to wear his gloves but he has gotten so used to them. He doesn't think twice about them. We are very lucky to have great friends and family. We thank each and every one of you for everything

Hello Again

I completely forgot about my blog and when I brother Lincoln and his family created a blog for their kids it made me think of mine. I had been blogging, just not in my blog page. So I am going to play catch up. This is a great journal.

Eoghan's Hospitalization 9/7/09

I came to visit family in Washington/Oregon at the end of Aug and every thing was going good. Friday before Labor day we went camping at my aunts and yesterday we were packing up and I was helping my parents and my cousin was helping watch kids. Eoghan tripped and fell in to the fire. Lucky my cousin Peter was right next to him to get him out and put out the fire (Eoghan). We called 911 an are now currently at Emanuel Hospital in Portland. They have a burn center and we were here yesterday and will be here longer. Doctor looked at him and not sure if he will have to have surgery on his right hand. When Eoghan fell he put his hands down so his right is the worst. He got his palm, finger tips and part of his inner wrist. His left palm is burnt but not as bad as the right. Doctor said that should heal on it's own. He got his lower abdomen (by his belly button) burnt, just a little on his lower lip and tip of his nose, a little on his right ear and a little on his inner left and right leg.

Considering the situation he is lucky. He has been a trooper and is hanging in there. Best case would be we would be out of the hospital and back in Salt Lake at the end of the week. Worse case is he would need surgery on his right hand and that could be 3-4 weeks. We could transfer him to Salt Lake but I figure everything has gone on here so I would rather stay here. They won't fly him so it is a long ride in an ambulance. plus the extra cost for medical transfer.

Memories

August of 2001 my high school friend Hannah and I moved to Portland Oregon. It was a spur of the moment thing. A few days after we moved I went in to Blockbusters to rent a movie and ended up getting a job there. Hannah went in and also got a job there as well. I met Travis there when he was working an evening shift. The first time Travis and I really talked was on my 21st birthday. Hannah, Travis and I were all doing inventory and Travis wished me a happy birthday. Hannah and my other roommate Lacey started hanging out with Travis and his roommate Calvin. They would come over and we would go hot tubing and watch movies. The first movie Travis and I went to see was Zoolander. First place we went to eat was Mongolian Grill. First date out side of going to the movies was going to the Zoo. I met his brother Bryan and Sister in law Jennifer at Jennifer’s birthday which is Oct 8th. First Christmas present was a PS2. First time Travis told me he loved me was on Valentine’s Day. We got engaged 2004 New Year’s after coming back from a friend’s party.

Travis and I were married out in West Linn Oregon at Mary S Young State Park. Travis was working for Oregon’s Park and Recreation. The ceremony was at 4 PM, 4:30 we had a Buster’s BBQ for dinner. It was wonderful! So pretty much your typical summer wedding. However our reception we rented a bowling alley. We didn't get the bowling alley until 8 PM so after the wedding we were able to change and then hit the alley. We ended up ordering pizza later that night and had a great time. We had a great time and found our guest have fun too!

Yesterday Travis and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. As far as the actual day goes we didn’t do much. We usually celebrate after our anniversary due to being busy working and the last couple years being with Eoghan. Our typical anniversary celebration includes going out to dinner and a movie. I’d have to say that is probably my favorite date.
